On October 30th, Google shared a new Doodle on its homepage which features a game called The Great Ghoul Duel , and although it’s relatively simple, it’s surprisingly fun to play. In order to join a match, all you have to do is head to Google.com on your desktop or mobile browser and tap on the colorful Doodle in the middle of the page with the green and purple ghosts. One of Google’s most iconic Easter eggs is that dinosaur game that becomes playable any time the Chrome browser is unable to connect to the internet, but it turns out that it’s not the only game the company has hidden from sight. Last month, Reddit user attempt_number_1 discovered a full text adventure game hidden in Google Search which no one had ever seen before. It’s unclear how long it’s been there, but anyone can play it at any time. In order to access the game, you’ll need to open up a browser (Chrome is preferable, but Edge and Firefox both work as well), head on over to Google.com, and search for “text adventure.” Once you reach the search results, hold down Ctrl+Shift+J on Windows or Command+Option+J on Mac to open the console. Apple’s interest in augmented reality (AR) is pretty clear by now. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 24 hours, you’ve probably run into the latest viral trend: “Yanny” vs. “Laurel.” On Monday evening, YouTube personality Cloe Feldman shared a three-second audio clip on Twitter in which a robotic voice utters a noise. Some people are hearing “yanny,” while others are hearing “laurel.” Yes, this is the equivalent of the photograph of the multicolored dress that took the internet by storm in 2015. The fun (and frustration) of the clip is rooted in the fact that everyone seems to be split fairly evenly on the true nature of the sound. We’ve been watching footage of the brand new Apple Park in Cupertino, California filmed by drones for months, but over this past weekend, the inevitable finally occurred. A drone crashed into the complex. Matthew Roberts, who has been filming the progress of the Apple Park for years, was contacted by someone who lost control of their drone as it was hovering over the Apple Park this weekend in an attempt to find out where it had crashed. After some time searching with his own DJI Phantom 4 Pro, Roberts eventually found the drone wedged between two solar panels on the roof of the facility. The original pilot got in touch with Apple to tell the company what happened, but there’s no word yet on whether or not he will get his drone back. Earlier this week, YouTuber Logan Paul sparked an avalanche of outrage when he uploaded a video that depicted a suicide victim hanging from a tree in Japan’s Aokigahara forest, otherwise known as the ‘suicide forest.’ Compounding matters, Paul and his cohorts were arguably mocking the victim in a video that went out to Paul’s YouTube subscribers, many of whom happen to be young children and teenagers. While YouTube certainly has its fair share of horrific videos, Paul’s massive YouTube channel boasts more than 15 million subscribers. Though YouTube eventually pulled the video, Paul was widely criticized from all angles for exploiting the dead and for acting in a disrespectful manner.
